About
The Fountain of Life (FOL) Foundation is a non-profit organization passionate about making a difference in the local community and beyond.
Inspired by our faith in a God of love and compassion, we are a group of individuals committed to serving those in need wherever and however we can.
We focus on combining our efforts with the talents, resources, and assets that people in need already possess. By partnering with those whom we serve, we seek to effect lasting, meaningful life changes. What sets FOL apart from many other charitable organizations is our devotion to hands-on service. Our goal is not to grow into a large non-profit organization requiring high overhead and outsourcing costs. Instead, we do everything through our volunteer staff, from the necessary administrative work to the purchasing of supplies and materials to the onsite distribution of services. This means that when you give to FOL, one hundred percent of your donations go directly to our charitable activities.
We are currently involved in several ongoing projects. In the greater Seattle area, we distribute groceries to low-income, elderly, and refugee families.
Since 2014, we have worked with a Ugandan village, where we have opened primary and secondary schools and now support the education of over three hundred students. We also opened a medical clinic on the campus, which provides ongoing medical care to students and the surrounding villages.
For our academically gifted students who wish to pursue advanced education, we are creating a university tuition assistance program that will allow our students to achieve their dream, which may not be possible for them otherwise.
Our Medical Outreach Services have provided much-needed dental, medical, surgical, and teaching services around the globe.
A social justice initiative is the latest addition to our mission as we focus on injustices of all kinds that are so prevalent in our society today.
